Laurentian Pipe Band Lessons

Every Monday

If you want to learn how to play a new instrument or even if you are already experienced with pipes, drums, or highland dancing, then the Laurentian Pipe Band may be for you. Every Monday in June at 7:00 pm, you can take beginner lessons for highland dancing, bagpipes, and drums – all free! It takes place at Laurentian University on Ramsey Lake Road.

Kill the Keg Draught Beer

Every Friday

Beer lovers will love the Kill the Keg Draught Beer event occurring at Hardrock 42 Gastropub in Sudbury. From 11 in the morning until they close, a new draught beer (at only $4.75 a pint!) makes its way throughout the crowds for their drinking enjoyment. Follow up the brew with some of the pub's delicious food, too. The first June event occurs on the 5th, of course!

Lunch on the Lakes Concert

Every Friday

For a free event that offers you the chance to see some outstanding performers as you enjoy a picnic lunch of your choosing, head to the Living with Lakes Centre on Ramsey Lake Road on any Friday in June. Throughout the month, from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm, Rebecca Danard will entertain you with beautiful melodies from her clarinet. It is a perfect way to enjoy a peaceful lunch with a view.

American Idiot Musical

June 5

"American Idiot" is the name of the most successful album from punk rock artists Green Day, and YES Theatre takes it to a completely new level with their musical interpretation. It includes not only music from the namesake album, but also a few hits from their follow-up album, "21st Century Breakdown". Check it out at the Grand Night Club on Elgin Street.

And of course, anyone attending should feel free to dress up as their favourite character for this event.
